There will be an on-going game during this retreat. Julie and Marje have a pre-determined list of words and phrases that, when spoken, will win a prize. Colleen won the first prize by saying the phrase "does anybody have...". She was looking for a ruler, and ended up with a ruler and a kit "Chanteilaire Presents: Redware Revisited". Barb finished a table runner! (Sue A took a photo.) |

The first field trip was to Boersma's. Arden, Colleen, and Sue A went. Sue took Dianne's punch cards (one full, one half-full). Boersma's has switched to a different reward system, so it was decided that if Boersma's will accept the cards Sue should get something for herself and something for Dianne. While they were gone Dianne needed template plastic for her kalidescope quilt so she telephoned Sue, who picked up plastic, then picked up a skein of lovely wool for herself. Sue has half a punch card at home, so next time they will combine the half-cards and get something for each gal. Pam won a kit with the word "snores". She used it in the phrase "Dianne snores." Brad came this evening and did scissor sharpening and machine tune-ups. Cathy is working on her Block Buffet AQS online mystery quilt, and cut the wrong size block. She remade them rather than trying to fix them. Barb went on the Quilted Hill field trip. She had a gift certificate that she won at a NWQ meeting. Barb won one of the 'word or phrase' kits, but I don't know what she said or when she said it. |

Valentine's Day |
There were Valentine's Day pencils and pencil sharpeners at our places this morning. Dianne finally admitted to supplying them. Carrie put them out for her. Very good dinner, but sparse roast veggies. Judy gave Dianne part of a bite of carrot. |
