Dianne had a misadventure on the way here. While driving to Barb's house, Dianne's DIL, Melissa, rear-ended her and totaled both cars. Both gals are OK. This caused Dianne and Barb to be late getting to the retreat. Julie's llamas, previously known an "Rasta Llamas", are now "Llama Mowers". |

Happy Valentines Day! Dianne's machine was making bad noises (whether it was from the DIL car accident or from DH dropping it wasn't clear) so Julie went home this morning and brought an old machine of hers for Dianne to use. It stopped working after the first couple of stitches. Julie telephoned her repairman, Brad, and he came today. He fixed Dianne's 'real' machine (Sue A gave Dianne a Hello Kitty band-aid to put on her machine) and also did lots of fixes for other machines. Turns out, Julie's machine hadn't been used in years and years, and the oil was old and gummy. This evening Marje taught a class in using Liquid Thread in place of iron-on adhesives. We each made a teddy bear block, and Marje will use them in a charity quilt. |
